These Magnificent mammals are considered one of the most beautiful, mystical and magical creatures in the sea.
The scientific name for these whales,Monodon monoceros, means “one tooth, one horn.”
Two of three recognized populations of Narwhals occur in Canada. The third occurs in East Greenland.
The narwhal is famous for its long ivory tusk, which spirals counterclockwise and can reach up to nine feet (2.5 meters) in length.
Males predominantly have a Tusk, and some have two!!
